The ‘Tour de Fat’ is going to be a completely different experience and idea from anything else that you have so far experienced. Visiting six different cities, it will hit Fort Collins with a festival of bikes, some great beer, and the chance to do something positive for charities.
So far, the idea has managed to raise over $5 million for various causes, and it is going from strength to strength. Based at the New Belgium Brewery, there will be live music available as well as a generally amazing vibe that means people are having a great time during the afternoon. The main even runs from 2pm to 8pm, and the afternoon is filled with things to do, so nobody should ever be bored.
The day itself starts with a bike parade through the town with the registration being open at 9am for a 9:30am start with the parade itself. This is often a pretty cool spectacle, and it is the opening event for what is always a wonderful day that brings in the crowds on a regular basis. This parade is a nice thing to be involved in with its laid-back atmosphere, and even if you are not taking part in the ride itself, it will still be a great experience as you watch the parade go past.
However, it is the afternoon where things get even busier with this event. Not only is there live music, but also a dance show and talent show alongside a number of other things to both see and do for those in attendance. The main thing is for everyone to have an amazing time and to raise money for charities, as that lies at the absolute heart of the reason for the event to even exist.
Tour de Fat shows no signs of coming to an end. Instead, this event is growing in stature, and with it continuing to raise all-important money for charities in the area, then this is something that is going to continue year after year. If you love beer and bikes, then head on down to the New Belgium Brewery in order to be part of the fun.
