What is World Whisky Day All About?
World Whisky Day is an international celebration held every third Saturday in May. Enthusiasts from all corners of the globe unite for one reason: to appreciate whisky in all its diverse glory. From peated single malts in Scotland to Colorado-crafted rye, it’s the perfect day to sip, share, and discover. This year, we’ll be celebrating on Saturday, May 17.
How You Can Join the Celebration:
- Drink up – Pour a neat dram, shake up a cocktail, or try something brand new.
- Bring a friend – Share a bottle and spread the whisky love.

291 Colorado Whiskey (Colorado Springs)
Their bold, unapologetic bourbons and ryes are finished with aspen wood staves, creating unforgettable flavors. The Small Batch Rye and Bad Guy Colorado Bourbon are fan favorites for a reason.
Hogback Distillery (Boulder County)
Known for their High-Rye Bourbon and Oak & Aspen Bourbon, these bottles pack character and complexity. Their use of aspen aging is uniquely Colorado and incredibly smooth.
Ironton Distillery (Denver)

This hometown favorite keeps it real with handcrafted spirits full of local pride. Their flagship Bourbon is smooth, balanced, and always a great pour.
Root Shoot Spirits (Loveland)
Fresh off a major international win – Best American Single Malt at the London Spirits Competition – this distillery is making global waves. And lucky for us, they’re right in our backyard!
